MOTS-C 10 mg is a lyophilized mitochondrial-derived peptide composed of 16 amino acids. MOTS-C, or mitochondrial open reading frame of the 12S rRNA type-c, is encoded by a short open reading frame located within the mitochondrial 12S rRNA region.
In laboratory research, MOTS-C is examined in controlled models involving mitochondrial communication, cellular metabolism, metabolic stress adaptation, insulin-sensitive signaling and AMPK-associated pathways. The original research describing MOTS-C investigated its relationship with skeletal-muscle metabolism and the folate-purine-AMPK pathway.
Each vial contains 10 mg of lyophilized MOTS-C supplied in a 3 mL transparent vial for controlled laboratory research applications.
